We provide the DET community with a modern ecosystem of infrastructures and specialized services to support education, research, and collaboration with industry.
We offer meeting rooms and event spaces of various sizes, including the Maxwell Conference Room and the Shannon Room. All facilities are equipped with audio-video systems for videoconferencing and hybrid teaching, enabling the organization of seminars, workshops, meetings, and scientific events with a capacity of up to approximately 100 participants.
We have 6 teaching laboratories (LEDs), which are at the core of the Department’s hands-on education activities. The laboratories can accommodate between 30 and 75 students each, providing a total of approximately 100 workstations. Equipped with modern electronic equipment and measurement instruments, they enable students to develop practical skills through a hands-on approach across the main fields of electronics, telecommunications, and information technologies.
Research activities are carried out within highly specialized laboratories, organized into thematic clusters and equipped with state-of-the-art scientific infrastructures. These laboratories cover a broad range of expertise, from microelectronics to RF and microwave systems; from communications and photonics to electromagnetic compatibility and sensing technologies; from bioengineering and robotics to emerging technologies for artificial intelligence, edge computing, and quantum computing.
These facilities form a research ecosystem that is open to collaboration with universities, research institutions, and industry, fostering innovation and technology transfer.
The library, shared with the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN), has recently been renovated to provide a modern, bright, and multifunctional environment designed to encourage study, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. In addition to access to its bibliographic collections, it offers dedicated spaces for individual study, group work, and informal meetings, serving as a key resource for students, PhD candidates, researchers, and faculty members.
